Aug 18, 2016: ICYM Valencia had organized “CLEAN AND GREEN VALENCIA “on 15th August 2016. The programme was presided by Fr. James D’Souza Parish Priest and the Resource person Mr. J. F. D’Souza Attavar.
The programme commenced with a patriotic song which was sung by the YCS members. The flag was hoisted by the Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Naveen Pinto. Mr. J. F. D’Souza Attavar was the resource person called on to brief about the cleanliness to be maintained in our surroundings and to know the importance of planting trees.
Later on the ICYM members distributed around 130 saplings to the parishioners. And then the members proceeded to plant saplings around the church premises and also had a cleanliness drive.
Fr. Arun Lobo Resident Priest, Mr. Arun Raj Rodrigues Vice President Parish Council, Mr. Leslie D’Souza Secretary Parish Council, Mr. Gordon D’Almeida ICYM Valencia unit President were also present for the programme. A large crowd was present to witness the great event.
