ICYM Valencia unit organized SANGEETH SAANZ 2017 on 29th January 2017 at Valencia Church grounds.

The programme began by invoking God’s blessing with a prayer song sung by the ICYM members.

Due to the sudden and unexpected death of Mr. Valerian Lobo and Mrs. Hazmy Lobo of Vailankanni ward who died of electrocution there was no formal function held. As a mark of respect a condolence was given by the Parish Priest Fr James D’Souza and 2 minutes silence was observed.

ICYM member Relston Lobo welcomed the gathering and ICYM Valencia secretary Jovita Rebello proposed the vote of thanks.

The nite started with a meaningful song “Amche Phirgach Festa” sung by Alister and Neil.

Ashna, Adele, Vinol, Joanne, Lisha the young children of the parish sang during the nite. The youth of the parish Valen Sequiera, Sweeny D’Souza, Dickson Rodrigues, Joel Crasta, Railen D’Souza, Gerit D’Souza and Eva Lobo rendered their melodious voice.

Special performance which attracted the crowd was the duet and solo song sung by Mr. Robin Sequiera and Mrs. Carol Sequiera.

•    Best Singer award at Konkani Global Music Awards held at Mannd Sobbann Mangalore.

The love towards music and singing has no age. The unstoppable seniors of the parish Mr. Gregory and Mrs. Flavia Sequiera sang a duet song of Late Konkan Kogul Mr. Wilfy Remibus and Mr. Cryil D’Souza sang a solo song of Late Legendary singer Mr. Kishore Kumar.

Spectacular dance was performed by the youngsters. Team 18+ and Sizzling guys.

Laughing is the best therapy. The trio comedians Mellu, Richa, Sunil Bajal (Team MeMoRi) entertained the crowd with their jokes.

Flair Juggling by Rolain Lobo Bajal and Beat Boxing by Aniketh & Leander enthralled the crowd.

Popular Konkani songs Kenna Kenna, Tuzo Mog Maka Zala, Rock N Roll, Whistle Maar, Dev Boro Saanz, where some catchy songs sung.

Hindi retro songs Mere Sapno ki Rani, Pal Pal Dil ke pass and Monica. Latest songs like The Chicken song, Mein Hoon Hero, Baatein ye Kabhina were also sung.

Musician Stalin D’Souza assisted on the keyboard with Meldrin D’Souza playing alongside, while Adam D’Costa on drums, Floid Pereira on the Bass Guitar, Colin Braggs on the Rhythm guitar, Leander Pinto on the Trumpet and the Talented Warren D’Costa on the Lead Guitar rendered Music for the songs .

While Warren D’Costa played stunning piece of lead guitar with some guitar stunts.

Sweeny D’souza and Ashtone Pinto compered the entire programme.

The programme ended with the Baila sung by Rai Kogull Robin Seqeuira assisted by Valen Sequeira. The crowd danced to the tunes of the duo cousins baila.

Large number of Parishioners witnessed the programme.
