Catechism Day was celebrated on 21 March 2021 at Valencia Church. St Joseph inter-diocesan seminary Jeppu Mangalore Rector Rev Fr Ronald Serrao was the main celebrant, Parish priest Rev Fr Roque D’Sa was the concelebrant.

After the Eucharist a small cultural programme was organised in the church golden jubilee hall.

Guest Fr Ronald Serrao in his speech said that catechism class begins on the lap of the mother and ends till the end of one's life.

Fr Roque in his speech thanked all the catechism teachers for their selfless service to children of the parish. He was grateful to Fr Lancy, the assistant parish priest and Teacher Emilda for their dedicated work towards catechism in the parish.

Children gave cultural programs which made the catechism day more colourful.

Teachers were honored  for their service given throughout the year. Children were given prizes for regular attendance and securing first, second  and third prizes  in the catechism exam and for keeping the record book.
