All Souls' Day observed devotionally at Valencia Church

“Deep down inside we always seek for our departed loved ones”.

Though there were a few drizzles around, the people were unstoppable. A day where Families and friends of the departed gather at the cemetery to pay tribute to their loved ones. It is indeed a beautiful way of remembering those who have left this world ahead of us.

At Valencia, mass began at 5.30pm.The main celebrant was Fr Roque DSa,Asst PP Fr Lancy Dsouza,St Antony Ashram Jeppu Asst Director Fr Larry Pinto and Fr William Barracas were the co-celebrants.

After the mass a small prayer service was held at the cemetery which was led by Fr Larry, followed by blessing of the graves.

Small children were seen lighting candles around the graves along with their parents.The graves at the Cemetery were decorated with flowers and candles lit by the family and beloved members expressing their bond of love.
