World Day of the Poor celebrated at St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased". (Hebrews 13:16)

A request was made to the Parishioners to contribute rice to be distributed to the poor and the needy orphanages on the occasion of the World Day of the Poor on 14th November 2021. Accordingly, people generously gave 6200 KG of rice. A short programme was held on 4th December at the Valencia Church Hall and rice was distributed to 200 needy beneficiaries of the parish.

The programme began with invoking God’s blessings which was led by Fr Lancy DSouza. Parish Priest Fr Roque spoke during the occasion and appreciated the generosity of the Parishioners towards the needy.

Parish Council Vice-President David Pais, Secretary Rita Menezes, Coordinator of 21 Commissions Steevan Rodrigues, Vinay Lobo, Patrick DSouza,Vinoy DSa, Gordon DAlmeida, Viroy DSa and Clive Rego were present during the occasion.
