ICYM Valencia unit celebrated its fifth anniversary on Sunday 27th September 2020.The celebration began with Eucharistic mass at 8.00 AM offered by Fr Clifford Pinto, Principal, St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel. Fr Clifford in his homily, stressed on the importance of love that is required in all the work we do, be it personal or professional.

After the mass, a small get together was held in Ferrer Hall. ICYM president Jovita Rebello welcomed the gathering. Secretary Vinoy D'Sa shared the report of various programs and events conducted by the unit during the past 5 years.

Fr Roque D'Sa, parish priest and the director of the unit congratulated the youth for their service to the parish community and encouraged them to continue the same. He also mentioned that the youth are the life of the parish. "During the time of pandemic, the youth have rendered their special service to the parishioners by doing thermal screening, sanitization of the church, maintaining social distancing, which has brought laurels to them in the parish", opined parish priest.

Fr James D'Souza, founder director of ICYM Valencia unit and the former parish priest expressed views and thoughts of this day. Being the founder director, he stressed on how a youth unit creates link between youth and the parishioners. "Youth are the future and such units strengthen them and guide them towards a bright future", opined founder director.

Fr Clifford Pinto , founder Assistant director and former Asst parish priest appreciated the youth for rendering their service to the church.

Asst Parish Priest Fr Lancy D'Souza, Parish council Vice-President David Pais, Secretary Rita Menezes, ICYM Valencia unit president Jovita Rebello, Secretary Viroy D'Sa and members of the unit were present for the program.

Gloria Menezes rendered the Vote of Thanks. The program ended with breakfast.
