Catechism Day was celebrated on 24th February 2019 at Valencia Church. Parish priest Rev Fr James D’Souza celebrated the Eucharistic celebration. Rev Fr Joswin D’Souza the Asst PP con-celebrated and preached the homily. In his homily he stressed on “The importance of catechism in the life of a Christian”.

After the Eucharistic mass a small cultural programme was organised in the church golden jubilee hall. Fr James D’Souza in his speech stressed on “Children to be regular for Sunday mass during holidays" and asked the children to inculcate values of catechism in their Christian life. He also thanked the teachers for their selfless service. Parish council Vice President Mr Anil Lobo also spoke during the occasion.

Children class-wise gave cultural programs which made the catechism day more colourful.

Teachers were honored with a memento for their service through out the year. Children were given prizes for regular attendance and securing first and second prizes  in the catechism exam.

Snacks and ice cream were distributed to all the people gathered. Nearly 500 people participated in the program.
